On our way back to the hotel I stopped and shot these photos. The sun was a challenge but it didn't stop me from trying to get a few more shots.

First we spotted an east bound coal train.

As luck would have it a second east bound train was running next to the coal train. The was the first time that I had seen two trains running parallel heading the same direction at the same time.

I love these pictures showing life-sized section track in use, I've never seen anything like that before. Didn't even know it existed. Do they just bolt those sections together, or is there some type of "joiner" between them?

I promise to keep more coming your way.

I don't know a lot about section track. On this day they appeared to be bolting it together. Maybe one of the other TrainBoard members can tell us more on the use of section track. Anybody care to jump in?

Thanks! I figured she was pretty rare.

Our next stop was in Lexington, NE. The museum was closed but I still got a couple of U.P. 485 shots.

As we traveled through town we saw MRL 612 at the silos.

And U.P. 798 idling on the tracks.

It might have been. I just went back through all of my pictures and unfortunately I did not have one showing the complete car.
