Cheap enough, as Al Cox used to say, "The trucks are worth that much!"

    Here's some more ones

Hmm, not sure I would pay this much for a tender...

Still a bit much for a 70's era set steam loco.

For those of you who like it nice and cheap...

I missed one, but it was someone selling a black 6462 for $50, marketing it as a rare, early metal underframe version. Now I have three black 6462, two of them having metal undersides and none of them are rare.

Second one, scroll down, and down, and down, he's trying to impress you with his massive collection.
    Third one...well, I need a see-through red caboose like I need.....well.
For a penny, and $7.99 shipping, you too could own one for eight bucks even.

Plastic truck version, single coupler version, special see-through red body version.
Wasn't a penny, with the specified shipping it was eight bucks.
    Pass.
Pick them up at train shows for less than five, no shipping.

I agree. Was just thinking someone would be tempted. The type which will bid first, and rue the decision later, when they've discovered those post-win expenses.

For both listings, even if I had to have them, I wouldn't pay the price if the decimal point was shifted one point left on either.
MONON Railroad modeler, and he can't spell.

That first item is a beauty, and reminds me of the one I once had, although it was well used and enjoyed by me. But where the heck does their price come from? What is the basis for such an odd and high flying dollar amount? Other than wild fishing or simple delusion....?

For the second item, in one place it says used, in another never used. Which is it? That decal deterioration is pretty bad. Desirable? Yes. At that price? Ha ha ha.

    How'd that song go?
Broke, busted, disgust...ing....agents can't be trusted....
Cupolas gone, Marx shell, broken caboose corners....all plastic shell locos, aren't they?
Big Gear Marx, won't do normal turnouts.
Mix of all sorts of leftover stuff from the estate sale, I'd guess.

    For just tenders?!?!
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-coal-tend...l_RR_Trains&hash=item4d0e33cc19#ht_482wt_1328

This 6464 isn't worth that much (unless it is in superb condition, which this one is not) Also not the 1956 version of the car (trucks are too new, 1960's is more appropriate)
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lionel-6464...30628967544?hash=item4cfb05ac78#ht_594wt_1091

That still seems like a lot for a pretty common Marx set, regardless if it is boxed...
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-MAR...l_RR_Trains&hash=item58a1c9f5fa#ht_511wt_1328

This made me laugh as I got my copy of this for $15 or $20 dollars (check out some of the other listings of this seller, you will find some pretty absurb prices on some of the things)
