I'm not going to make it to the San Rafael show, but I just got off the phone to Chuck Ciaccio (geep35), who is going to be there.

IIRC, there are quite a few good modelers in HO and N scale that reside there- as the moderator in Steam & Railfaning, KCS, MKT and Railroad News, I invite you to post some info on the 1:1 scale stuff.

I'm lurking too. Definitely not as freewheeling as that other place. It's gonna take 3 or 4 forums to take up the slack. Meanwhile, I'm going in the basement and lay out my layout
I agree. I do more reading here because the threads last longer. I post more on the Atlas site because it's more conversational. Both are great places to be!
I think there is more activity than there appears to be, it's just spreadout amoung more specific subject headings, whereas ATLAS only has 5. ATLAS is like the big city; compact, busy, lots of traffic (and noise). TRAINBOARD seems more rural, laid back and take it easy. It's a nice change of pace.
Is there going to be a (temporary) Sunday night photo event here? This may be one of the only times of the year I will actually have time to fully participate. Heck, I may even dust off the camera and make some contributions. Guess I had better get to work wiring those NJI crossing gates..... Jack (aka JDH)

I am no admin here, but I don't see a problem with having SNFF here, besides, Charlie Dix, among the top dogs here, IIRC, is the one who runs Rail Images... Any moderators care to chime in? (edited) Well I guess Colonel is just too quick for me, and addressed the issue as I was typing!
