Yep.... I'm just another refugee from the Atlas Forum that can't decide where to settle for the next couple of weeks.... BTW.... in case you didn't know already from all of the other posts I've made today.... I'm Calzephr
Well, maybe I should check in as well. Been a member here for some time, and have lurked quite a bit, but haven't posted much. Definitely seems to be a good place to be a refugee from the Atlas Forum...
Gee, there's a name that went inactive on the ATLAS board about the time I started. Sometimes it's tough to keep these multi personalities straight. Welcome to the party!
Yeah, the name went "inactive", but I didn't! On the Atlas Forum I am now known as "Canadian National Railways". Never did get around to changing it here (didn't use it much here), and hey, its good to see old SRB return...
I have noticed quite a few or you make the comment that you are ehre while the Atlas forum is inactive. I hope you guys will like TB enough to at least come back here even when Atlas is up and running again. I also visit Atlas site but of course am here more. There is room for more than one place
Paul, I actually come here and lurk quite a bit, even when the Atlas Forum is active. It is definitely a very good Forum, and I intend to continue to hang around!
colonel usually i check this forum at least a few times per week. for some strange reason most of the time i am not able to proceed beyond the login screen. once it works it is often extremely slow. this sucks and it's the only reason for staying away with this forum.
Ah yes. I made it. The great Wildebeast migration of '03. It took me awhile to get an account here. The password never made it through the ether whenever I tried it. But, the problem is fixed and I made it from the other side. It's nice to see some familiar "faces". I like the Atlas forum for the quick dialogue, but the topics here seem nicely spread out and categorized. I think I'll stick around here too after the Atlas board re-opens. (especially when my blood pressure is high) My compliments to the chef/chefs. All-in-all I'd give it a thumbs up. (how about you Roeper?) Jacob [ 29. Hi guys.... Now that Charlie Dix has restored my name to the familiar Calzephyr... Canonballxpress can quietly die... as it has on the Yahoo Nscale group. Thanks Charlie, I feel better already! Colonel... I think several of us Atlas regulars will hang around more often... I know I'll be here from time to time... I will eventually open an album in the Rail Images too. The fact that Atlas has a couple of lengthy shutdowns during the year will always increase traffic here during those times... I am currently on two other boards while the Atlas board is shutdown... next time I will likely only be on this one. I like it here... I'LL BE BACK [ 29. From time to time I've posted on the ATLAS board about things here, like the Rail Images weekly highlight (and a donation reminder). I like the access to specific areas, so I don't have to weed through threads I'm really not interested in. Each has it's place and I've noticed several who crossover. It's been great to have Alan and Paul join us on the ATLAS board too!
Lurk? Why not pipe up & say HI now & then? It IS good to hear you plan to hang around.... </font>[/QUOTE]friscobob, I do pipe in whenever I have something to add to the "conversation", but frequently, when I look at the threads here, an answer has already been provided (usually better than I could have given) and there is nothing more that I could add to it...
