Here are two more additions you might consider. A reverse loop and a passing siding. You can probably fit a passenger/freight station and small town against the backdrop in case you give into temptation with the many beautiful passenger trains being released. It also allows you to be able to shunt cars in and out of the smelter/cement co all day with out interrupting the main line. And the reverse loop could always come in handy but the layout is really set up in one direction, so this is optional. Anybody else have any ideas or suggestions?
Hmm, actually I like both of those additions and I think I'll keep them for sure. Just one question though: What radius will the inner/mainline loop be now? Thanks, Chris
Ah, I forgot to mention. Yes that inner loop is dropped down to 12 3/4 radius. But for what you plan to run, that should be perfectly fine, and since it's buried under the mountains and behind the backdrops, shouldn't provide any eye sores.
Ahh and another I forgot about, What # switch is used throughout the layout? They look to all be about the same to me. Thanks, Chris
They are all #6 except for 5; The one on the right, and two on the left of the engine facility, and the two in the mine are all #4s. But with using flex track, you can most likely squeeze things together more and upgrade the #4's to 6's with no trouble at all.
Oops. I cleaned out my website for it's new look and I forgot to keep the plans we worked on up. I still have them on my computer though, and hopefully you downloaded them separately. Here's the last version we came up with. Any progress on things here?
