mean its a train room with a bed in it? hahah jk! thats really the way i see my bedroom, excuse me, train room....
Both the old and the newer ones are door size. the old one is in the closet now, standing vertically, the new one I am working on is on on of the two beds in the guest bedroom. Basements....whatta concept!
Upstairs back bedroom, along with my 'writing' desk, my computer desk (and computer) and 2 bookcases full of books/model kits/assorted junk.
On top of my Book shelf.. It is a Large Oval 2.10Metres x 65cm... I so want to expand but need another House to do so.. Every other room is filled up with Junk....
Dedicated Room in the Basement, heated and insulated. Proximately 10'x12' (so way too small....) Cheers Dirk
LOL that is one heck of a "bump". Nicely done and a great topic.!! </font>[/QUOTE]Wow! I started this thread way back in 2003. I'm glad I did not close this poll. I answered my own poll question but never posted to this thread. My layout is located in my garage in Texas. Not cooled or heated, but manageable most of the year. PowerSteamGuy: I am also interested in how you cooled your garage in FL.
I expanded the loft over the den into the attic. My train room is well insulated and air conditioned.
Well, I've only just started benchwork, but mine could be classified as "attic" or "other" probably. Here's how you get there, but since this photo has been taken, what looks like attic space behind the mini-door has now been finished off and air-conditioned. I guess yuppies would call it a "power attic".
Currently have a portable setup on the dining room table. I wish I had a basement. No such thing in the desert southwest, the ground is too hard to dig in! You guys that have useable basements are VERY lucky! Recently the Land Commission granted me property rights for the new pike (in the spare bedroom)... The surveyors are on the job as we speak, planning the new route. More to come...
My pike was in a spare bedroom of a two bedroom apartment. Have since moved to a townhouse, and now its in the basement, and is going to be expanded!!
My layout is in spare guest room with other furniture and needed access to closet space. My layout is 2x6x2x4 L-Shape.
My current layout may be a one-of-a-kind. It is 32"x 70" and fills the starboard side of the main cabin on my 31' sailboat. So far I have not found or heard of anyone else with a layout on a sailboat. If somebody knows of another I would love to hear about it. Nelson
Mine's in my tiny little head. It's made it as far as an 8x11 piece of graph paper, but it's hard to switch in that size space. Man, I gotta negotiate for a bigger layout room!
I have been granted a 4'x16.5' portion of the livingroom. Once the layout is up and running (Unitrack of course)... then I will consider it a "living" room.
Mine is a 2'x4' shelf in the guest room. When the baby gets a bit older, the shelf is going to go a lot higher off the ground.
