In what room is your layout located? If you have two or more layouts, choose the location for your primary layout. If you don't have a layout but are planning one and have a space already allocated for it, choose that location.
as per my poll answer, Living room but that was before moving from the garage to computer room and then guest room before my current land right usage agreement
I'm using a huge basement for two small layouts. I share this room with my computer and my 3 year old daughter whose trains are on the floor under my feet. LOL [ 22. August 2003, 01:47: Message edited by: BALOU LINE ]
Although my layout is presently somewhere between my imagination, and the drawing board, I voted for the basement. Boxcab E50
My current layout is 2'x4' in a corner of my bedroom. I'm relocating soon to my own place where I'll have it in the large living room.
Mine is currently in the attic of the house- it's enclosed and has its own heating & air conditioning unts, and is accessible by an enclosed spiral staircase. And with temps hitting the dollar mark (100 degrees), that AC can get a workout!
Well upstairs in an older 3 bedroom story and a half house i robbed some room for a linene closet for the bathroom. Then i robbed some more from the same bedroom for a closet for the master bedroom. The only thing i could possibly do with what was left over was turn it into a train room.I'm tellin ya,it was manifest destiny
My layout is located in the basement. That means I don't do a lot of work during the middle of winter, when the basement temperatures are hovering slightly over the 40 degree mark. However, summer time is a wonderful time to work in the basement, when the temps are a cool and comfortable mid 60's. THe dehumidifier does run year round, and gets a real workout in July and August. Ya'll talk about rooms for your layout.... mine gets a countertop between the kitchen and laundry room. All 1'x6" of it! Oh, to have a basement again!
Mine is in a purpose built insulated shed close to the house, with a heater for the winter time. Also has a low-power heater to keep it dry during damp weather and overnight.
I didn't know how to answer this one, but we had a room purposely built as a study that never really got used. So I decided it would make a great train room for N scale, which it has become. So I voted "other."
Hi, I'm new. My first layout was in our bedroom. Got too small , moved to the familyroom . My wife wanted her familyroom back, so when I retired in 99 we decided to build a building for RAMKO VALLEY. Check my website for the rest of the story. Glad to be here.
Hi Ray. Welcome to The Gauge. I need the URL to your website so we can access it. I think you forgot to post it. I tried to find it at yahoo but no luck [ 23. August 2003, 21:29: Message edited by: Telegrapher ]
