Appropriate that I follow Eugen. I just returned from Switzerland with 2 SBB coaches, 2 older wagons and 2 chalet models. The coaches will be behind a Rhatishe Bahn loco from the Glacier Express set and the rest will end up on a little Switzerland T-Trak module. Found a very friendly train shop in Bern.

Aristo G Scale DRGW orange caboose.
And a book on the UP M10,000 streamliner
at the Sherman hill train show in Cheyenne, WY
this past weekend. Not much that catches my
interest in N Scale these days. Just waiting on next
to last, and last cars of the American Freedom Train!

Fox Valley Models just delivered the latest GP60 release. Got the class unit SP 9600. Runs so smoothly...installed my last Zimo MX622N decoder and it just creeps along at speed level 1 with almost no sound. Really impressed with FVM Matt's work on these!

Union Pacific SD70ACe #8859 from FVM. What a smooth runner! The hobby shop also had some of the new run GP60s in SP and Santa Fe on the shelf. What a hard decision I made today.

As much as I despise the UP, I'm about to pull the trigger on the UP excursion set.
The 844, with ESU Loksound DCC/Sound decoder installed, the water cans and the 7 car passenger car set.
Non lighted cars, since the $300+ for lighted cars seemed a bit too much!

    Edited to ask:

One question, for those that have the full set:

I've seen one review, on eBay, that says the water cans do NOT couple to
the locomotive, because couplers are too short. Can someone confirm/deny
this comment? Or provide a simple solution if this is true.

Not overly worried, since it may spend more time on display shelf, than actually run!
I might try it, IF I have the option, at next railroad club N Scale sub meeting.
N Scale folks meet in separate meeting, outside of regular club meetings.
Chance for me to run something, sometimes.

I have never had any problems with coupler spacing on the water tenders. Perhaps they may be a problem on tight curves?

Curve size was never indicated in review I saw.
Minimum I have, on one layout, is 11".
Minimum on the HCD is 15". Max is 16.25".
Always have club N Scale modules I can run on occasionally.
Run at shows maybe, otherwise, on display.

Well , I did a little video and I do not want to start a plastic Vs metal war AGAIN, but I just got 6 100 packs of FVM 3301's and 6 packs of Micro-Marks sticky weights and am working my fingers to the bone changing wheels and weighting cars to NMRA recommended specs.
I assume I am doing it for a lack of things to do!!!!

Picked up a couple of FVM SP GP60's (DC) and added NCE DCC decoders to them.
Very nice product from the folks at Fox Valley Models!

A few more years before the little one will be able to play with it, but I figured I should get it now while Tomix is making them again. I might be building a British themed layout in a few years.

I'll admit it's for me when I convert it to DCC.
