Happy Birthday! I will turn 66 next month and I can't even remember what 50 was like! Such a young age As far as the prices on Kato locomotives, you are right, they are all over the place. Ralph
I went to a train show today and saw a lot of friends. There were a few vendors with N scale but nothing called out to me. After the show I went to my local train store which is only 5 to 10 minutes from the show. I found this MTL 3 car set and these Tomytec stores. Most of the signs are separately applied. I’ll look through my spare parts box for appropriate signage or print my own.
Poo colored truck delivered a similarly colored box that was full of goodies. I have been wanting to try out a TCS CS-105 for a while now and I finally got me one, and I bundled it with a UWT-100. And a visit to PnP Trains brought me home some parts for an engine I’m working on as well as 2 new engines for me. Here is the command station and throttle. And a pair of Atlas FURX GP38 engines.

Yes, we mean every ... single ... wheel! Yes I have a disease
Just ordered some LCC components to replace my controls for my passenger station T-Trak set. I have been having issues still with the control system I originally built so I am going a different route. This will also allow me to put another decoder in my control box and have the yellow line DC as well as the red. Good news about LCC is it will still work in DC mode, I wont lose functionality.
Ohio crane by Overland. Latest Trainworx release. This one has the DCC light board in it. Supposedly with headlights on a spotlight comes on in the direction of travel. I did test with a 9 volt battery and the marker light comes on real decent. As always excellent detail.
Can't wait to see this; LCC is really starting to catch on! Then you can add signals to your passenger station, even if only to protect from running against the switches (no occupancy detection required.)
That is my plan. Once I get the LEDs I will make little dwarf signals on my 3D printer and those will show which route is open and which is not.
I have had time to check the Turboliners. They are really sharply detailed. There are rows of seats and all the car interiors are lighted. You can turn off the interior lights using a magnetic wand included in the packaging. All in all, I am very impressed. Now to get them running on a layout!!!!!!
I like these Rapido passenger cars, I added 6 add on cars and pre-ordered 3 Amtrak full dome cars as well.
My son is one of the groomsmen for my daughter's upcoming wedding. The groom & groomsmen decided to go to Japan for the bachelor party. My son picked out & brought back a beautiful Japanese loco and several exquisite railcars for me!
