I went to the Deland, Florida train show yesterday with friends. On the way home we stopped at our local train store in Melbourne. I bought a flexible road and a couple of curves packages at the show. Each curve package contains a full circle (2 half circles).

I also bought Kato’s Mama’s Seafood at the show.

    IMG_2145.jpeg

At the train store I got 2 Walther’s kits.

    Lastly, I found this Denny’s.

I need lots buildings for both my layout and T-Trak modules. As I make progress I’ll decide where each structure will go.

So I picked up a few items on the auction site:

Atlas undec MP15, Atlas SD35 in Wisconsin Central, and a Trainworx trailer.

And I got myself an early birthday present-

60 Rapido autoflood hoppers. 48 pictured came in from a hobby shop in Illinois-price was $40-$50 lower for a six pack than anything else I saw online. Not sure if they are an advertiser so if anyone else is in the market message me and I’ll point you in their direction. 12 more are coming in later from a different retailer. Been wanting them for a while and saved up so went ahead.

A couple of Rapido cabooses. I haven't tried the lights yet. The picture is taken on my friend Ken's layout.

Hey Sepp, if you don't mind, will you share how it goes installing the batteries?

Those look good in the can opener scheme :)

Well they both took off like Kato locomotives should. The SD discovered a tight spot that will require a bit of attention in one of the tunnels.

In this months releases, there are gons with crushed auto loads. I saw one but I'm going to hold my comments until someone else post a picture of one. Will just say not what I would have expected.

The weathered boxcar is a great addition to your freight car fleet.

I like that office. It’s a versatile little structure.

I thought I was done for a bit getting rolling stock but then I saw this months micro trains releases and couldn't resist some more hi-cube TTX cars and this April fools reefer. I do like the detail of the hi-cubes with metal wheels the cut levers that can be installed as an option for even more detail but prices be climbing for these.

I do have a couple more cars to get but seeing how finances work out now that spring is here and the yard needs attention.

May not look like trains but 100% N scale use on these items.
The big can to take the place of the little bottle. Note - Less than $3 difference in price for the big un. The tips from folks here are AWESOME always!

Two things I ALWAYS have around, not just for trains. Big cans of Acetone and Denatured Alcohol.

Not bad. My dozen Cobalt IP Digitals are here after 9 days from ordering on a Saturday afternoon. Royal Mail got it from Ireland to LA then USPS brought it the rest of the way.

    Time to build the turnouts.

I've picked up a few UP items. Planning to flip at least one, from a package deal. The brand new GP15 is the best Atlas out-of-the-box runner I've ever had.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Two other solvents- MEK + acetone for gluing most types of plastic. I mix my own in ~50:50 ratio- store is a tightly sealed glass bottle as MEK components will evaporate. And a can of mineral spirits for cleaning brushes and thinning enamel paint and general cleanup. I buy 99% isopropyl at Ace Hardware by the gallon for resin printing washing and clean up.

These buses from Amazon arrived yesterday.

    IMG_2170.jpeg

I think they are decent models considering that they are 6 for $11.99. The doors for passengers are on the wrong side for right hand driving in the US but I can live with that.

This is probably more buses than I can use on my layout and T-Trak modules but we’ll see.

I got the same buses last year. Did some detailing. I added a bus station to the city square. Have fun!

I thought of a bus terminal but I don’t think I have room for one.

What detailing did you do? I am thinking of painting the taillights red on all of them and the headlights silver on the 3 smaller buses.
