Congratulations, we expect a thread of yours with a lot of miss prints and good prints while you learn. You seem extremely happy, and you must have been surprised? Cool, seeing people get stuff that weren't expecting!
Just a new arrival this week, a Minitrix British 9F aka decapod. Virtually brand new, runs beautifully - very smooth hardly run in it's lifetime. I need to file down the drivers and front truck wheels so they are no longer pizza cutters. And yes it will become an ATSF Decapod
Had an Atlas B23-7 show up today in BNSF colors. Will try it out tomorrow to check running, man, it looks sharp.
Yes, totally unexpected. My daughter is on the ambulances and very poorly paid for what they do. So feeling a little guilty accepting it. Already tried to pay for half of it telling her I was going to buy one anyway. She is resisting currently but i will pay her back a goodly portion of it one way or another.
Found in my Christmas stocking, a nice selection on N Scale cars from various family members. I'd wanted the Bluford Shops Erie hack for the longest time and the EJ&E ran close by our home growing up. The ICG and Soo are true to my midwestern roots and I didn't have an NYC jade green car, so am very happy to finally have one. I have none of these body styles, so am stoked to add them to my collection.
Catching up the last couple of weeks- 2 more (Kato) Pullmans lettered for Metra-I just renumbered them today, which is what made me remember to post this. 6 more (Atlas) Trinity 5660 hoppers lettered for NS. 3 sets of (Athearn) wedge trailers 1 more (Atlas) corn syrup tank car lettered for Rampart Range. Something I kept forgetting to get !!!!! N-SCALE MAGAZINE ON CD Volume 6: January/February 2015 - November/December 2019 THERR RV (Featured in N-Scale Magazine April 2017) .
Congrats of being published too. I have all 6 of the N Scale Magazine discs because I decided to get rid of the actual magazines. They all took too much space and were very heavy to store away.

Just bought a box of 100 #11 knife blades for $12 on the interwebs. Will have to see about quality, but considering what a 100pk of Xactos is (usually right around $50-60), I'm OK with lowering my expectations some.
Well ordered the 2nd Kato pocket line steeple cab set so I can have another switcher to MU with port switcher and then I decided to scratch an itch and ordered the B Train Shorty Keisei Electric Railway Skyliner Type AE sets A and B for a complete train along with power chassis.
An Intermountain cab-forward. Took a gamble on a unit that supposedly needed an unspecified repair. So far so good, fingers crossed.
I keep buying things, laying in projects for the future, for example. Two CP GEVOs from Fox Valley. I need to get to weathering them-they are earmarked as the power on a long intermodal train once I move from Japan back to the US and can build a larger layout. I really enjoy railfanning on my little layout here with a coffee before work. From fifer TCS Decoders for them and for a different project, two more Atlas Greenville hoppers for a rock train. I’ve done quite a few Atlas and Walthers models and I really enjoyed modeling them empty and weathering the interiors. Lastly-I picked up 3 more ethanol tank cars and 3 more LPG tank cars by Athearn. The former again are for a future unit train project for morning railfanning on a future layout. Ideally I’ll have some space to do some operations too, so the LPGs will be switched in and out of some industries-I’ve got a Walthers kit to build that looks very close to an LPG dealer that I grew up near, so that’ll be perfect. Post human delivered something yesterday and Moose only discovered it this afternoon... A Bachmann 0-6-0 with slope back tender for a not so secret project, a Digitrax function decoder for a stupid stinkin' disease'el, and Walthers roof top details for the brewery, warehouse, etc.:
Moose, Was it everything you hoped it would be? Meaning the later verson and not the early one? Also those roof top details look really good, I have one of the newer Walthers Dairy Queen resturant that could use a few of those vents, I just might have to check into one of those. Anyway, can't wait to see how your 0-6-0 project turns out. Ralph
@Martin Station Howdy, Yes, it is the 2015+ version -- no sticky-outy motor! Although, of course, the slope back tender isn't the DCC-ready version, but for the price, it will work for Moose's purposes ... The roof details look decent -- definitely will make any building more complete!
