During the triple tracking of Cajon, Sundays became a good time to make a trek out to Sullivan's curve. There were even railroad cops around to give you the stink eye if they didn't like where you were. It made for some impressive pictures.
I have not been able to head toward my favorite part of the BNSF main around here. There has been highway construction everywhere, resulting in people sitting, sitting, waiting.... Supposed to be done in two weeks and then out there I go! And will probably hit work windows with nothing moving... Argh.

Speed on the Gulfport, MS Sub has been increased to 25 as a result of the recent upgrade with 115# CWR. Looks like even the locos are smiling, because I know the crews are.
A couple of summers back, outside of the Columbia Basin RY office in Warden, Washington. The sun is just fully up and workers are firing up power for another day:
The CRANDIC has these posted on all their switchers. C&NW heritage unit, 1995 on the MMTCL this past week. A Rock Island hopper has seen a fair share of travel.
And the newly painted Western Maryland units came through on the CSX in Anderson Indiana on May 25th.

Cool pic of the CBRW trio Boxcab. (or quad. I think the ex BNSF is theirs now as well) I miss the funky seahawk head logo on some of their older paint schemes tho. Love the eastern Washingotn shortlines CBRW,PCC,& BLMR. Brian
Brian- The BNSF unit was indeed theirs at that time. Have not been back for a couple of years and wondering if it was repainted. Also, hidden behind them that day was an ex-AT&SF unit, still in blue and yellow. I arrived shortly after 7am, as they were cranking up all the power. Didn't have time to stay for any chasing that trip. A couple of other views on my web site.
