I am doing a hurry up job to put interiors with people into these old El Capitan cars before the new Kato ones come out. One last hurrah for the old work horses before the new kids on the block show up.
Local switcher working along 'the wall'. I still have some scenery details to add, particularly where the water meets the rock-face: Another wider shot with a backdrop digitally added:
It must be a fair bit of work to detail the interiors of passenger cars. Quite beyond me, but I do get pleasure from the exertions of others. :tb-biggrin: Nice work, Russell. I depict a double-heading Challenger and TTT-6 combination from the Union Pacific.
Yes, Crandell, I agree. I have enough trouble, just getting the roof off. Bruce, nice rock work and water scene. Crandell, impressive models and photo. An E8 leading the local across Hammer Creek.
What a great scene Gramps. Nice cars Russ. & Bruce & Crandell:thumbs_up: My buddy Dave came over 2 weeks ago & brought hsi custom painted GP-7TT & pass.cars in NJ/DOT scheme to run. The picture is the best of the bunch, but doesn't do the train justice.
Dang, that's a sharp curve in the road there. How many drunks end up in the creek on the other side of that red pickup truck?
Another great photo-start, everyone. This is one of my favorite threads. Russell: Those figures look familiar--I think I have some of them inhabiting my "Royal Gorge", LOL! Are they Preisers? Nice job! Grampys: Gorgeous. How do you do your water, BTW? Crandell: I'd say those two locos could handle just about every freight car you (or I) own. Nice shot! That TTT is one fascinating looking loco. Well, here's my contribution. 2-10-2 #1400 has just dumped her ashes at Deer Creek, and I'm afraid that George, the new guy has gotten a little over-anxious about filling the wooden ash-car. I mean, hey, George, they may be HOT! Tom
Some of my best roundhouse images are actually upstream of the roundhouse. I love this image, or another close to it, as I chose it for my signature.
Pete: Nice scene but it looks like some fire damage in the tall building back there. Is that a part of the backdrop? Thanks.
Bruce, you posted while I was typing my message earlier. Niiicceee!!! The water looks very deep and good for fishin'. The rock walls are shear...well done. I love all your images, fellas.
I agree with what others have said, this is one of my favorite threads on TrainBoard.....great stuff as always everyone.
UP 753 joins the fleet in Donner Now that UP 753 is slightly detailed and weathered, she' ready for service in Donner. Bill Mock
