Hope this passes for WNFF. nscale_lover stopped by. Here are two great train operators at work. nscale_lover has to wear the City Rail vest as he has the throttle. Rules, you know! ;)

    Hi, all,

I've not had time to org the Cincinnati shots for my 24 hour visit to the NMRA 2005 National Convention, but I have uploaded raw photos at the following URL:

    http://community.webshots.com/user/atsf_arizona_layout_tour4

The highlight of the convention for me, was an invitation by Dave N to spend some time on his splendid N scale Tehachapi Loop layout during the NMRA Layout Tour, showing a temporary backdating of his layout from it's normal Santa Fe / Southern Pacific intermodal-laden
modern 1995 timeframe back to.... Santa Fe Warbonnets and Zebra Stripes.
    (smile)

At the URL is also have Dan Morgan Layout (N scale from GMR 2002) and some mfg's shots.

    Check it out. Thx!

My roundhouse came in the mail on Friday, all I did yesterday and today was figure the thing out. I only need to order the second to get two more stalls, and I think that will about have all the parts I need for roundhouse!

Inside, its looking ok, I have cut a but off the tops of the stock atlas walls to bring them down to 3.75 inches total, Clearly I have to put a break into the walls though, and then a short wall near perpendicular to the turntable, in order to make use of the area to the right of this wall.

Here's the outside, its grainy due to bad lighting and a bit fuzzy due to the limitations of this camera, its a little Intel Pocket, regardless, it provides more then nothing. But still, its limited.

I painted my roundhouse in Late ATSF Central AZ Colors, Red and White. I debated doing the white trim on the doors, then a friend said yes. I took two seconds with the brush before getting smart. I masked the doors with scotch tape, cut out the crossrbracing, and spraybombed it. I was pretty hoping mad at Atlas when I was Painting the Windows, they come in a Goudy Green, luckily I found the spray bomb of flat white and made fast work of the lot of it! No going postal now, though that color...why??? (I know, I know, it was Cheap!)

I also painted my canyon cliffs today, I will undoubtly add another foot to this side of the bluff, it simply feels right. I Used som of Woodland scenics "Foam putty," It worked decent; I used my hands to put it on the rock face, and take out some of the lines that were in the foam. My cliff is complete with cave/indian ruins, I may build a small toppling wall in that space later.

I finally got another car almost finished for my firebird special, its pretty colorful, especially when you consider that the boiler of this train is Bright Pink! There was an accident with the spraybombs, I used a low grade masking tape that didn't take well, the result was...ugh!!! i have been chiseling off the red paint where it got on the white with an exacto, its getting much better as I go along now! The greatest horror of all is the tender, its nearly unusable unless I dip it, one side didn't even get masked, the other bled horrible! Eventually, this train will be lettered in the Home roadname, (I think it might end up being Auga Fria, instead of Arizona Sonoran), something that looks proper. But that is later!!

    Nice, Very Nice.
Take as many shots as you like. It will be about a month before the Main Line is up and running. How would you like to do up a couple of matching Cabeese?

I'm a little late to this weekend's party. Here's a recent shot of the scene entering the outskirts of Boston.
