As always Tom, its like I could just step into your diorama and walk up to the engines and climb aboard. Thanks for sharing.
Came across a couple of new cars in the yard today. First a UP "Building America" autorack, sublettered DRGW 533. And on this CSX car, I appropriated the art work from a prototype photo that toxavgr had on line. Seems like a lot of people got busy this weekend. Great photos everyone! I loved browsing at all the terrific modeling.
The Bachmann full dome is modeled after an ATSF prototype as it looked with the huge letterboards that Autotrain added when they ran them. </font>[/QUOTE]And here's a GN prototype. They only had 6, View series, GN 1390-1395. Here's GN 1391, Ocean View: (Bachmann dome with Brass Car Sides overlay)
I have been busy, numbering a pair of unnumbered D&RGW Tunnel Motors, weathering them, and finishing decals on a single D&RGW GP40: Rio Grande 3080: Rio Grande 5365, and 5408:
Yeah, it needs some dirt, but I haven't decided if I'll do it up like D&RGW 5408, or like D&RGW 5365...
I finally sorted out how my street and shops are going to be placed. The card strips show position of the two lane road. There will be a sidewalk and parking shoulder next to the shops side and grass verges and trees on the other side.
Sapacific, Here's a thread going that has more detail on the Big Dome cars: http://forum.atlasrr.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14800 The thread discusses not only Big Dome examples using the Bachmann car, but also some stunning N scale Big Dome kits by Robert Martari, built by Mark Jirousek: Enjoy, all (smile).

Using the FULL REPLY FORM, click the IMAGE button and then type the URL of your picture in the dialog box - or you can type [ img ] yourimageurl [ /img ] (without any spaces) Or click here for the FAQ version
[ IMG ]http://www.railimages.com/gallery/Mountain/aao[ /IMG ] Russ- Rockfaces are Woodland Scenics Rock molds, painted gray and then washed several times with bluish gray and on the side ones a much lighter whitish with final light brown wash.
Mark, The image URL it calls for in the code is the one you would find in the image properties if you right-clicked on the image. Then copy the URL, and insert it with the tags at either end. No spaces, BTW.
