    Thanks, Otto!
very nice pics!....these locomotives definitely have character...all of the covered wagons do...I'm going to have to find plans and do my best to create photo-etch parts to replicate these...
should be fun, and, at the very least, I'll discover another discipline that can't hurt (resin casting is also at the top of my 'things to learn'!)
    Thanks again,
    ~Bruce

I have three of these and LOVE 'em !!! I have two for CRI&P and one Undec that will be for PC (Because I said so, THAT'S why !!!) Just wanna' warn you about one thing. If you use MT couplers, the mounting screw is too long. It will poke through the nose. It came right through the "Rock Island" shield on mine !!! GF actually repaired it while I was out chasing Sprint Cars around Iowa for a week !!! Didn't want you to do all that "nose work" twice !!!

    Hey Bruce,

Just found this old thread. Very cool. Question - did you ever develop the photo etched details for these-?

I have the Hallmark model and would very much like to bring them up to how these were in the mid 1950's. Dual headlight (which I can do) and all of the window vents and other screens and such.

    Thanks,
    Wolf

    Wolf,
I have some parts that Roberto sent me about 1 year ago...however, I've heard from him very sparingly as of late, so I'm considering stripping the shell and using the parts he sent (they were designed for the ConCor shell).
    Bruce

PS-love your 70 tonner!, and STILL trying to find Kato F7 shells for those Black Widows!!!!!

    Hi Bruce,

It was worth a try-- LOL. I'll dive into my DL-107 and DL-108 after my SW-1 project.

And -- thanks for the kind words regarding my GE.

I'll check my shells to see what I have. Not sure at this point what is in my stash (If anything). What exactly are you looking for-? A's and B's - or-?

    Thanks,
    Wolf
