    Great Bridge Bash!

    John: It is just wonderful! I particularly like the bridge and the road off to the side. I have to admit that I might not even know what facilities should be in a steam operation, but these look excellent to me. Also, I guess this is getting ready for the Denver tours. Wish I was going to be there; looks like I am off to other places that week. Really a great job here. :thumbs_up:

    BTW, do you ever have time to sleep? ;)

    Flash,
    If you ever plan on being in Denver let me know and I'll give you the directions to my place. Oh yeah, I make sure to get that sleep or the mistakes start happening. Probably how I ended up with that skewed bridge.

    Here are a few photos of the new sanding facilities;

    The sand house is from an old kit. This is where the sand is dried and then send up the pipe to the sand towers with compessed air.

    The old tower only had one large container for sand which went to a number of sanding stations. It is a brass model and quite impressive so I did not want to cut it up to fit the new location. instead I went to the scrap box and designed my own version. I ended up with three sand holding containers because it made it look a little more complex.
    The old sanding facilitiy was designed for four tracks and the new one sets between two tracks.

    This shot is looking down the tracks to the sanding facility with the Backshop to the left in the back and the coaling tower to the right.
