I am a definitive maybe. After purchasing the MI car sight unseen and winding up with a car that I can't use, I'm not going to commit to anything until I actually see the car. If it's something that I can run in my <1954 empire, count me in!
"pure fantasy" that what I like to see, something that you can't see in real life. I mite just get 2 then.
"Pure fantasy" I'm fine with! But if it's a purely fanciful coalporter or centerflow, I have no need for one. I'd really like to see something transition era!
I am not sure which number I am... 64 perhaps but definately something over 63. Anyway, I would really prefer a tank car from the transition era but I will buy regardless because I love the Special Run program. Something that relfects Trainboards but still looks prototypical, maybe working the Trainboards logo into a corporate logo and leaving prototypical stencils, etc. on the car. I know some people want these cars for display but I want to use them in day to day operations, I would prefer if they "fit-in" with the rest of my rolling stock. Of course, I have no issues if we go with an actual prototype as well. The MI car arrived today and it looks great, even if it is a little modern.
I didn't even see this thread until just now... maybe a 'sticky' would be a good idea for this one. My... chatter... had I seen this thread before the 'tankcar-to-be' was announced... was to suggest some kind of prototypical flatcar... with either a "TrainBoard" container, trailer, or crate load. Those who are strictly proto... can run the car and put the load somewhere else (or sell it). I like the idea of "TrainBoard" grafitti as an 'add-on' decal... for those that like vandalism (I DON'T... so don't count me in on that one). Other than that.... I LOVE TANK CARS!!!! Put me in for number[size=+2]...65![/size]
Put me in for #66 as I dont have a layout yet but will have one some day. Besides it will help out Trainboard!!!!!
