Please remember what weather forecasters mean by "Still and Clear". Still Snowing and Clear Up To Your A**!
Stimulus arrived. Pulled the trigger on a Bachmann 3 truck shay! Undec. Gotta check it, then find the right Airwire lard and Phoenix sound for it!! Will be able to run my narrow gauge equipment again! Since the shay is 1:20.3. Just need to decide how to letter/number it! Should get it, between Monday and Wednesday next week. Will not be able to test it, until I can find my railroad again!! And get the last of my switches replaced.
Looks like the Post Office is going to screw up big, yet again!! Delivery digest says my shay WILL be here today. However, all current tracking says it’s still en route, having left Denver. Gotta file complaints again!! Maybe more!
Bummer. If you must file a complaint, I hope you get more than just a form email in return. Last time this happened to me, something very important was delayed. Their response was useless, telling me what I already knew, adding nothing further of value. My item delivery was not accelerated.
Same here, there mgmnt just dont care. My last package from Houston TX came to CO via Pilly PA, couple days late but still got here. Just curious Keith. How was your package shipped? Parcel or Priority Mail?
Shows as Priority. Although, eBay invoice indicated UPS. So, it could have been a combination. Not really sure. But, now shows being received in town, with delivery date for today, a day later than promised! Still not happy, only because they lied about delivery time!
Arrived a day later than promised. Looks like government gorilla had its way with the box a little bit however!! Locomotive is fine. And Yes, this is exactly how I recieved it, before I opened the box to do a quick check!
Now sitting on test track up front. Not outdoors! It’s alive!! Runs pretty good, on a 5 foot test track. Need to get some rollers for it, so I can let it run a bit, to break it in a bit. Then, look for the needed Airwire board and sound! Good looking locomotive! Quite heavy as well.
Took a couple of iPad photos and a rather shaky video. Unfortunately, I gotta redo them at some point. Everything came out too dark, so the intricate details of the side cylinders could NOT be seen, and the movement of said couldn’t be seen either. Might have to get flashlight next time!
Post Office was supposed to deliver a couple of Classic Mini 1954 Rio Grande Ford work trucks Saturday, and failed again!! Lost somewhere between here and Denver maybe! A bunch of incompetent people working there!! Prices go up, service goes down!
A nice 75* today! So, I actually made it out, and started working on the railroad a bit! Lined up a section of track, cut to fit. Had to pull a section of curve out, as 1 rail had to be trimmed slightly. Didn’t get it back together. Mom and I went and got the parts she wanted for a small privacy fence! Hope to maybe get it together tomorrow. With luck, I might try to hook up a DC power source and set up and test run my Shay!! Hopefully, it’ll run good, once track is clear of plants overtaking it, and rails are cleaned! Best of all, the work I did wasn’t too bad, as it did NOT kill me, like it did last year! But, it was also about 20* cooler! Despite feeling like I was mowed over by a truck a couple of times, it’s been a good day!
Well, after heading out for breakfast, and getting back in time for FedEx to deliver new mirror for truck, I finished my track project from yesterday. Track, for inner loop out front, is now complete. Just gotta clear debris from track, then clean said track! Hook up different DC power supply, and set up and try test running the new Shay and see how it'll run.
