Well with the purchase of the NEW lighted magnifying glasses, ( see N Scale purchase area ), all the lights are working, for now Those things are definitely cheaply built ( magnifying glasses ), that's for sure! But a tool I can longer go without. How long they work before I have to deal with them again is anyone's guess! One of many reason's why I don't glue anything down. Plus I am always changing my mind and moving things around. It's how I roll Not so much the track but buildings, sign's, vehicles, etc... Pretty much everything else! Might steal some WS lights from the other 2'x4' base too. Who knows?
LOL! Stay away from Unitrack, or you'll be moving your tracks and roadbed (all in one) around too! Don't ask me how I know this... but it might have something to do with the slow progress of my layout. Not because it's hard to change, but because it is so easy!
Don't worry, I have so much Atlas Code 80 track, switches, etc... plus the flex track, I'm not planning on ever getting Unitrack. And the cost difference for me too. To each his own Of course you never know what the future might hold?
Trying out the new Tripod for my iPhone 13 to see if I like it, not sure yet as the holder hides some buttons and such. I'll have to see if there are different ones? Or if I can adapt to this one. Never had one, could be me Wow, I haven't fired up the layout in month's. Just been sitting collecting dusk, and how! Very cool not to have to hold the smart phone for take videos or pictures and also has a tiny remote for taking still pictures, sweet! The Remote does NOT work for videos. Another test of the tripod.
The tripod holds the camera nice and steady. Is it made for an iPhone 13 specifically or will it work with any smartphone?
Any smart phone of certain sizes, and they have a list too in the description of examples. It's like a clamp system. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CB39227B?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
Alright took me way longer then expected and 7 more shelves to hang. But these are the bottom 3 shelves with the LED lights and they are amazing. Have to clean up the wires and such and maybe adjust a few shelves, but these LED lights are really cool, with a Remote Control and 6 settings for the lights. I'll take a photo with the C&L Layout back over there soon. Then continue working on them over the next few days. Took me forever as I was being extremely cautious, but now I have kind of found a grove for putting on the brackets to the shelves and I do it on a table a head of time so I don't have to bend my neck to attach brackets to bottom of shelves. Of course the ones in the wall are done while leveling and such. Had another photo but it was sideways Also need to fix background for layout too at some point too. Me likes, me likes a lot Very happy can you tell? Hoping this will motivate me to work on layout more SINCE I can SEE now Or I think I will be able too? All I can say is wow, finally Yep, wiring to clean up, hide, etc... The 6 lighting levels are great! I have been thinking about this for years, and now I have lighting for C&L Layout and shelves for models and N Scale stuff! Super excited!
Thanks, still have to add some more shelves. Think I am just going to go with 5 shelves and either use the other 5 somewhere else in the room or Return them to Amazon? Haven't decided yet. It's way darker in the room then the photos show without them as the iPhone adjust for low light and doesn't really show how dark it is Good luck finding lights that work for you. These are Under the Counter Lights, therefore need to attach to something Also added a wireless plug that I can set timers and such, On and Off times, going to use it for my Woodland Scenic street, traffic, LED lights, to come ON at a certain time, and OFF at a certain. Like say 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM every night. One of my favorite parts of my tiny layout is the WS lighting system. Now when I want to work on something I don't have to hold a flashlight in my hand, which is awkward to do. The future will tell IF the lighting motivates me
I got featured on his YouTube channel after I sent him some photos of the C&L Layout. He has a Fan Featured Foto segment if people send him pictures. Very nice person. I follow him all the time. It's at the end of course
Should work great for a bench. Here is what I bought, but they sell a set with two of them also. Good luck, they are awesome! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPSWHJZ6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
"Stupid is as stupid does", Forrest Gump! Why do we have to make it so difficult on our selves at times? So I got my new LED lights up, put a wireless plug on it so I can Turn them Off and On with the App on my cell phone, or like I did, Schedule times for them to turn On and Off during certain hours, which is awesome. So first off I was going to buy another power strip when I had one of those that plugs into the wall with like 6 slots so saved money, me stupid, so then I am like my NCE PowerCab does not have a power button so I need to use the extension cord with the On & Off RED button from Christmas, stupid. Then I realize, why not use another wireless plug, I have 3 extras, that I can Turn On & Off with my phone Geez I feel really stupid and had all these tools at my disposal to make things much easier. Now everything is nice and automated and into the 21st Century I feel stupid again, had to look up what Century we are in Am I the only one that has Forrest Gump moments? You know like looking for your glasses and they are on your head I'm actually laughing right now
I think it happens to all of us from time to time. I know it’s happened to me many times over the years.
