The first two are Northtown Yard in Minneapolis, the third is Rice Pt. Yard in Duluth and the fourth is an older shot from the waterfront in St.Paul, MN
The first two are Park Jct (BNSF & MNNR) in St.Paul, MN, the second two are at the BNSF Belknap Terminal in Superior, WI.
The first three are in Superior, WI, the last two are in Osceola, WI. All these shots were within two and a half hours drive of each other, with some great railfanning inbetween. It's tough to filter through the lines. From one spot in St. Paul you can see BNSF, CP, CN, UP, NS, Amtrak, MNNR, RRVW and TCWRR.
Some great photo's on this thread. I've spent a good portion of an hour looking at most. I'll add a few. 1. Scenic sub - Skykomish, WA June 2009 Facing east. These appear to be helpers. 2. Scenic sub - Skykomish, WA June 2009 Jordan spreader in need of paint. 3. Scenic sub - Skykomish, WA November 2009 Freshly painted Jordan spreader ready for a new snow season.
Thanks! Did the B&W conversion in Photoshop. The color photo is soooooo blah you would not believe...
A couple of weekends ago I stumbled across this Utah Transit Authority engine on the rear of a BNSF train that was sitting here in Grand Junction. Ben
And a good catch for you too Ralph! It looks like you braved the cool weather this weekend to do a little railfanning. Ben
Yeah, I finally got out. That guy has been here since Fall. I just thought it was a pretty picture of his nose.
I live by Mazon IL.. Maybe Ill see if I can get some high speed shots 50 mph+ I usually see a lot of NS run there too.
