Thanks guys! The light was good at first but the train stopped and waited approximately 15 minutes for the MOW guys to clear. As you can see that is all that it took for the clouds to block the sun. Ben
So today I remember to bring my camera with me for a day of shopping with the mrs. in Flagstaff. After Kohls, I parked across the street from the Flag train station. About 10 minutes later, I get a westbound, and after 2 shots, my camera dies! All the model pics I've been taken lately had the batteries drained, so when I turned it on and left it on for the westbound, that did them in. I could have shot 3 more westbounds and some MOW equipment on our way through Flag. Oh well, maybe next time. -Mike
I tried to bag one more BNSF shot tonight from the passenger seat but as you can see a pole jumped right into the shot. nmad: Ben
Dang those poles! Another set of wonderful shots Ben! Can't wait to get up to that part of the country again! I'm counting down the days Mike
Thanks Mike! Traffic seems to have picked up a bit around here recently. Hopefully it will continue so that you have something to shoot when you get here. Ben
A few shots of a BNSF train that we caught today. The pace shot from I-70. And a couple at the Rulison exit after we had got ahead of the train. Ben
Ben, here are some shots you might enjoy from the Northtown Yard in Minneapolis. The SD40-2s are starting to stack up, every BN/BNSF paint scheme I've ever seen is there.
Beautiful shots! I wish that I lived a little closer to get some railfanning in there. Do you happen to have any more BN / BNSF shots to share? Ben
