The fading light of the day bathes the East Local in Great Falls, as it begins its work in town; the milepost corresponds to the 117 miles from Havre, MT:

 

The M-BILSBM (Billings-Shelby, MT) crawls west just east of Sun Prairie, MT:

 

Cool military loads! And a clean Warbonnet leader! Cool!

The B/W composition worked better than the color, because of the strong head-on light.

North of Hardin, MT (several miles south of Billings), a coal load is climbing a short grade:

The Great falls east local takes its work up to the east side of town:
