It has become an accepted thing with me because no matter how many times I tell myself I am going to be more organized, I never am. I still get mad when it happens, however. Doug
What is the most 'fun' is finding the item after replacing it. But now you have two to misplace. Rich
Three. You don't remember? You bought the one you just replaced because you still can't find the one you bought ten years ago.
I like remembering the stuff I look thru, trying to find what I lost, then hate when I forget what I was looking for in the first place.
Yes and I have many bits and pieces of things I saved on purpose but now have no idea, when I look at them, for what I saved them. Doug
Ditto. I had to buy a couple of sections of Unitrack straight viaduct because I can't find my doubletrack straight viaducts! I bought two singles since I figured they're more versatile than a single doubletrack. And they were cheaper than buying a pack of two DT viaducts. If I could find the DT viaduct, I planned on putting a crossover on it, but I'm not ready for that anyway, because I'd need an auto-reverse capability, since the doubletrack is in the "shank" of a folded dogbone. Once the layout is confirmed and moved to a foam base, those straight viaduct pieces will be on grade, so I won't need the viaducts.
Most of the stuff I 'lost' I have eventually found except for one thing and I can't remember what it was.
I'm starting to experience finding something that I have zero recall to ever purchasing...ZERO! Sometimes it'll be something that I've wanted and have almost purchased again. Not sure if this is a sign of getting older or having way too much stuff....or both.
