Here's an oddity! The station name is rubber stamped. I don't have a rule book for the Rutland. But I know that doing this, on many other railroads, was definitely not allowed! Moira, New York: Boxcab E50
Ken, your 1942 Petersburg Jct order was obviously for the southbound Rut Milk to wait for B&M priority freight traffic. Petersburg Jct, NY was where the Rut's Corkscrew Division on its way to Chatham, NY crossed the B&M's Fitchburg Division on its way to Mechanicsville and Rotterdam Jct, NY, and about 2-1/2 miles south of where I lived. I used to walk the B&M tracks down to P'burg Jct each weekend to wait for the Rut Milk while watching B&M FTs roar by on double track main. Also, B&M #6000, the Minute Man came by eastbound at about 3:00...sweet! There also was a small skating pond near the P'Burg J diamond. Ever try to skate on about 1" of the first ice of the Wintah....not smart!!
