Yea, allot of these older photos where scanned on my old 600dpi scanner and at low resolution to keep the files small as I was on a 56K internet connect in those days and it was painful to upload anything near 100K in size. Lisa and I are planning to rebuild our vacation photo albums into digital/video format so allot of these will get rescanned. When I get to that project I will also upload better quality images to my website such that they replace the old and thus will automatically replace the photos here too. I will see if I can get to a few of these "sign" photos sooner to see if they were readable on the old photo and rescan at higher res...

Darren, you are making me seriously considering signing up for this year's NRHS convention, to be held in Alaska.
You definitely have brought back wonderful memories of our WP&Y ride from Skagway to White Pass in July, 2000. We were 15 cars behind 3 GE's. It was the first I had ridden behind dynamic brakes, which was an interesting, but unnerving experience of being jerked to slow, then suddenly released into what felt like free-fall.
OK. These latest photos have me wondering if all the WP&Y diesels that were down in Washington for rebuilds are now finished, and shipped back?
Ken, this may answer your question...I hope? Click on the View Engines box. http://www.wpyr.com/company/diesellocomotives.html#diesel

1999: Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Later in the Fall of 1999 we head to the Eastern US and our first (but short) RRAdventures stop is part of our Civil War History trek. Our stop in Harper's Ferry also presented us with an elevated railway and trust me with the flooding that has happened here historically it is needed!
