Nice lookin' paint scheme on those for a leaser.

But why does this remind me of the Railroad of New Jersey, I think it was?

    Or Central of New Jersey....?

Now that you mention it, that makes sense. Must be the two diagonal stripes:

That came to be known as the CNJ's "Coast Guard" paint scheme.

Two more UP locomotives that NS picked up. Have not been patched yet as they sit at Shaffer's Crossing in Roanoke.

I couldn't find a WPRR or PNWR GP40 numbered 3302. They had a SD40-2MPR, an SD40 with HTC trucks numbered 3300 but it's been gone awhile. There is also a 3002, maybe the numbers got combined? WPRR, now PNWR, numbers their locos with the HP in 100s as the first two digits. So 3300 had 3300 hp and a 2300 hp GP39-2 will be numbered 23xx. Where any GP40s turned up to 3300hp?

I was just going by what I found on an Internet page somewhere, which was probably wrong. Maybe someone here knows.

That's an interesting patch job, just enough!

    They left the whiskers though!

They're paid to patch 'em, not to shave 'em.
