Mom always said I was special... THX!
Back in May of 2007, I was just driving along minding my own business, stopped at a traffic light and when I looked up. Wow a train. Does not take much to entertain me.

Is the coffee fresh? (NS Moraine yard, Dayton, OH)
CSX @ Linden Ave, Miamisburg, OH (dunno how the building is used today)
Another old GE smoking up the joint. Used to view them as unremarkable background for all the flashy new wide nose six axle stuff to parade in front of. Now I kind of miss them. July 7, 2007.
Love seeing old depots, freight houses, towers, etc!
Former Conrail - Irondale AL - June 2008
No fanfare or farewells that I can recall.
This was part of an old abandoned industrial spur (serving the once and now also gone NCR complex) in Dayton. After abandonment, it spanned S Patterson Blvd at Stewart St (sans trackage) but could not survive "progress" as hydraulic hammers did the deed. Only photos and memories from old timers would tell future generations that a railroad was ever here (the area is undergoing changes that even erase NCR's former massive footprint).
Track Mule works the scrap yards along Springfield St. @ Findlay, Dayton, OH.
BNSF visiting CSX Boyles Yard in Birmingham AL - June 2008
Port-a-potty on wheels.
