OK, you asked for it- I'm not responsible for any monitor failures...... Self- portrait of Mr. Cheerful, taken last year in my apartment in Oregon. I've thinned out a bit since, but my hair & goatee have gotten grayer. But I AM back home in Tejas!!:tb-biggrin::thumbs_up:
More .mil The best part about being over there, railroad wise, was lots of time to dream about layout plans, while coming up with a freelanced plan I found the WP, and never looked back... Jeesh!!!! Had to brighten things up around this this post!
Ok... here's me.... Mrs. JKD, and Mini-JKD.... Oh, and we're on a small train at Traintown in the Napa Valley. Fun spot.

Another face New years day, 2008. In the cab of my favourite steam locomotive, South Australian T class 4-8-0, 3'6" gauge. This is located in Museum, Millicent South Australia. Great holiday with wife and daughter. Spent some time tracing narrow gauge branch line that was closed in 1959. My wife refers to this pusuit as "Chasing dead train lines". Great fun.
Normally.. cameras malfunction when taking picture of 'ME', however, this picture taken by a club member of BP&S was attempting to capture the Morning Daylight train on the N scale layout. I guess since I wasn't staring into the camara... I came out on the lower right corner of the picture.
I found this old thread and thought it would be fun to dig it up again. There are probably a lot of us that weren't around when this was started. There are probably other threads like this around, but I haven't seen one. Thanks Tudor for getting this started way back in '08. Me and my wife Sonya on our honeymoon in '06. Michael
This one is a couple of years old. Got to visit Dan Markoff and the Eureka while TDY to Vegas. Downrange right now, I have to agree with the Major, its a good time to dream and figure out ideas for the next layout...
Me riding the boats and rails of Europe thirty years ago.Eurail was great and it was amazing how the 'I' people could size you up and pick the right accomodations - not too ritzy and not too low-class either. Jerry Debene can attest that I have aged some since then. Al
