This picture was taken one day before I bought MY first piece of N scale - the Bachmann McKinley Explorer. I bought it while riding the McKinley Explorer from Denali to Anchorage. A trip to remember, always!! The layout has gone beyond that - but every time that train runs, fond memories return!. I'm Don at the left. Joan's my better half and Ron and Linda are friends of 40 years.
The C&O Is that an Allegheny? :tb-wink: And the Indiana Division of the C&O is getting some new superpower. Pictures when it arrives...
Bear the dog and I enjoying the summer in the park. Also me working my butt of on the railroad bridge...whew. Railroading is HARD work! Also the LOML...AKA..."The Ultimate Model Railroad Wife". Greg
ok my turn a few years old and about 20 pounds lighter! The GP9 I got to run Since their is a lot of uniform shots, I was a firefigher for the army, a pilot friend snuck me in to the UH-1 Insturments flight sim at Ft. Rucker. quite a few years ago.
Here's my mug shot. I was at a defining point of the layout and had to make a major change to the plan. A work in progress...slow progress.
LOL! I took something like 10 shots holding the camera out at arm's length trying get a "normal" one.
i always wondered why you call yourself steamdonkey74. ok, 74 is the year you were born. now i'm still wondering about 'steam' ..... ;-) just kidding..... ;-) ...could not resist. sorry .... i will give you a chance for revenge with my next post ...
LOL! I picked steam donkey because I love logging railroad history, and I am particularly fascinated by steam donkey engines, such as the Willamette yarders. I tried picking just SteamDonkey as my name but it appeared to have gotten rejected, so I just tacked on "74," which is, as you noted, the last two digits of the year I was born C.E.
