I swung by there on Monday. The roof is off of the shelter and a little more of her is taken off. Most of her is still there. Will check again in a week or so. :teeth:
Sounds like there must be a small crew working on her. Hope she's not exposed to a winter of wet and wind. Boxcab E50
It's been mid-seventies here all week!:teeth: If anything, she dried out a little! Atleast when she's on the other side of the hill, it'll be dryer for the resto.
NP 2152 is now in Toppenish with NP 1364. It came over Snoqualmie Pass this morning and was unloaded at the Northern Pacific Railway Museum. The move went uneventfully using Ness Crane Service to lift the boiler of the frame and the move made with a total of four trucks. Russell Crane lifted the pieces back onto the track and 2152 is back on live track though a long way from operation. Doug Shearer
Doug- Welcome to TrainBoard! Can you give us some insight, into future plans for 2152? How are things going these days, at Toppenish? I seem to recall some difficulty about trackage operated? Was that resolved? Boxcab E50
I drove by the Auburn Park yesterday and looked at the empty spot where she used to sit for so long, and I got a little ckoked up, it's like an old friend that's moved away. Anyone know how she's doin' over in her new home?
2152 at Toppinish If we could get Doug to put up some pictures of 2152 and 1364 since he lives over that way:teeth: and maybe get the YVR&S home page updated:shade:
