Here's a pair of 1951 Fords, shrunk down from 1/64th scale. I made the 4 door sedan out of the 2 door Crestline by removing all of the special trim and re-carving the door openings on the sides.
After losing the puter to a bad hard drive and then 5 days without power I finally managed to get everything back together and get power back, and finish the sawmill project. This is the modified Walthers sawmill now as a planer/edger with a scratched chip bin and loader. The original JV models sawmill (two combined kits and some other parts) plus the parts from the Walthers sawmill kit now finished. The cyclone blower is from a old Pola sawmill kit and the saw carriages are small HO models which work out as large for N. On the side is the modified green chain from what will be the pond and showing the pond end of the mill. Originally this was to have been used with a flume but that idea was crapped and the entire structure modified again to its present form. More Walthers kits for the lumber storage and outbuildings plus office. Not shown is the Walthers powerhouse for the sawmill which was modified into a drying kiln. Last major piece was to take the leftover parts from the Walthers sawmill and the lumber yard and add a few pieces from the scrapbox to make a car shop/ engine house for the sawmill complex. Still need to glaze the lower windows.
The start of something dirty. Started to do a little detail work on my GS-4. (Thank you to Steam Donkey 74). Soon Ill be weathering this up to look like this. http://www.yesteryeardepot.com/SP1-71.JPG Started by painting the inside of the cab Tamiya Sky. (to me it'll pass for sea foam green) and adding a crew. Then the MTL 905 up front.
Just so there is NO misunderstanding, "A MESS" HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH NICK LARUSSO'S LOCO, I meant that my work-bench was a MESS!!
I'm using Archer rivet decals for the first time. If you haven't tried them, get some. They're the greatest thing since self-adhesive postage stamps.
Here is finally a method I came up with to make N Scale(or HO) yuccas. I will try to do a how to and post it on our site soon. It only requires Tan, white and grey craft paint, woodland yellow grass turf, woodland white flowers and silflor summer tufts and thick ACC. Here are the results on the work bench. Mike

Having only the testimony from some old timers and a few fuzzy photos to go by, I tried to recreate the old Southern Pacific pump house that was next to the two water towers in Rosenberg, Texas during the steam era. I guess it will have to do until more accurate information is found.
