    i airbushed it first with some grey mix i came up (im using tamiya acrylics)
    then a couple of thin coats grey,rust, grey, rust etc.
    the grain silo's i masked the segments and after the first coat of grey i thinnned the grey removed the masks and put down another coat over the whole structure.

    then just dry brushing with acrylics.
    but seeing your picture, maybe i should weather it some more?

    Steve,You are doing a very good job and staying within prototype practices.However,there is one small change I would make because-well here it is again-the old brakeman in me tells me that the tail track by the engine house would not foul a industry because of their workers(safety issues) and the loading/unloading of freight cars.However,if you are happy go with what you got..

    Please keep us posted....And those pictures coming.

    new building and and pressure vessel.

    the pipes on the building and tank are tig welding rods, the tank
    is a film canister and the nozzels on the tank are nailheads.

    stevenb, that pressure vessel you scratchbuilt is looking good. I might borrow the idea and install a couple of them in my N scale brewery.

    building a small tank farm with load/unload facility.
    ground plate is cardboard so are the concrete walls with I beams.
    the big tank is a ovaltine lid coverd with alu foil (i did a 1/48 B24 like that once, never again!).
    not finished yet still 4 tanks, piping and platform to do.
