Paul and All , $493.00 and some ? odd change not bad .. however try this one . Kyosho MINI-Z Body SKYLINE GT-R KPGC10 No15 Blue Limited Version | eBay has a $ 1,500.00 US and item location is in japan as is this one Kato Toyama Light Rail Tlr0606 Blue 14-801-4 Completely Untraveled .
The MyTrams are still available from Japan at $94 and with shipping the total runs about $114-$120. A greedy fool selling and a complete fool if anybody buys it.
A picture is probably worth more here ,note condition... I doubt that ! When was the last time one paid that $ for any MINITRIX Locomotive?
Holy moly!!! That price is beyond ridiculous. Where do they come up with this insane pricing??? After a few pints of moonshine?
The price is a bit over for that vintage of minitrix. That same loco can be found for around $55 which is $55 more than I'd be willing to pay for them. OTOH the recent minitrix releases are very well done but being limited availability in North America they get a premium. I suspect the seller either doesn't understand the distinctions between the older vs. recent releases or is trying to take advantage of noobs to the brand that see the higher prices of the recent stuff.
Looks like the old $15 price sticker remains on the box. The sad thing is that for every one of the insanely overpriced items we note here, there are ten more. Mostly gone are the days when you could check eBay and find interesting items at prices that made sense. I think most of this is a result of estate sale volume resellers who know zero about model trains.
The old Minitrix 3 axle steamers could be very good runners when fitted with an all wheel pick-up tenders. And the Belpaire boiler pacific was great with the tender refit. Would be a cold day in Hades when I would begin to pay a fraction of that much though.
From Two Different Sellers...
1- Santa Fe Alco diesel - Warbonnet (N gauge) Minitrix | eBay
2- Burlington Northern Alco diesel - #7671 (N gauge) | eBay
An ALCO I Don't Think So!! These Look more like MINITRIX GE U30CG
Indeed they are GE U30CG. Too bad the seller doesn't know their product.
Not sure why am just noticing all these downright criminal price gouges on Ebay, but all of a sudden is -all- I see. These are $54 at Hobbylinc.
I had a fellow just this morning who wants to buy a piece of paperwork from my personal railroadiana collection. He offered me five times what I was going to ask for it, based on his researching eBay prices. While I would love that sum of cash, I could not in good conscience accept that much money....
the two things I see overpriced the most are used motorcycles and guitars. Both tend to be totally unique due to modifications and/or uncommon but are more or less only worth what someone will pay for them based on condition. I can see your photo falling under the same expectations.
But when there are tons of retailers out there selling the exact same thing for 20-30% of what you are asking... I mean, I don't see who is going to pay that, and you'll likely just end up on some internet forum being called out for it just for trying. Hypothetically, at least
There may be retailers selling for less but, how to get there or what does it cost to ship. If shipping is even available.
Many years ago my wife bought a guitar on eBay and she waited and waited for a shipping notification. After several weeks the Seller responded that he was looking for a box to put it in. It seems he never thought of that.
The Seller eventually found something suitable, shipped it three weeks later and in the hands of my wife, it went on to lead Girl Scout songs for 15 years.

N Scale Berkshire Steam Locomotive 2-8-4 Wheel Conf Santa Fe 3790 w/Tender & Box | eBay this would seem reasonable If it runs , two this looks Like one of those CC /R = CONCOR / RIVAROSSI Berkshire's.
Definitely not the early Rivarossi or Lima box. The blue cradle sort of like what Atlas used, or possibly Con-Cor. In their time, they were decent. Although I had several Con-Cor steamers fry their motors. It has been a long time, so my memory of these is faded...
The seller actually did end the auction on that one due to an "error in listing" or words similar.
