For something abit more unusual, here's another old narrow gauge locomotive, but this one is from the Coahuila and Zacatecas railroad down here south of the Rio Bravo.

3' narrow gauge 2-8-0, built by Baldwin in 1900. On display at the National Railroad Museum in Puebla, Mexico

Great Shots Mr. T!!!! Where did you catch the UP 1995? Saw that go through Rochelle a while back. I had heard that the Ace units horn sounds different so you know when they're coming. Sure enough it was and it had the white zenon ditch lights. Pretty cool except fot the paint. :) I'm still looking to shoot a BNSF Ace.

    Russell,

Was that Conrail shot taken in downtown Roanoke? Unless I miss my guess, that's along the railwalk with the Hotel Roanoke in the background.

Today's "C" is Amtrak's westbound #5, the California Zephyr, following its original routing thru Gore Canyon as it did in 1949 when it made its first run:

    Then, at Tunnel 42:

That cab looks like an earlier SW-series cab, not like this 997; I'd have to guess it as an SW1000:
