Yes, but they also inherited some from Southern Pacific that would be included in their total fleet. I don't know exactly how many Espee had, part of me says 50, another says 100. Any fans of that line out there to set us straight?</font>[/QUOTE]Espee had 25 SD70M's, built in August 1994. They were numbered 9800-9824.

If I'not mistaken, SP only had 25 SD70M's delivered...... I have a complete roster list at home and will check it out. (oops... looks like SP8299 already answered that! )

about the 70mac post from trainorders by BCM

    B. Curt McCullough (I think i spelled his last name correctly) sold me my first HO brass, then he bought it back 3 years later when I got real...... The guy knows his stuff, and takes photos to back it all up.... When CSX did the first "City of..." (Cumberland I believe) (now I forget the loco they used) Curt was asked to take the photos for CSX. An all around good guy, except he models HO... :)

    Brian,
right on about UP sd70m's. I can only recall Uncle Pete having AC traction on the AC4400 and the 90/43 mac. Sounds like the AC4400's have fewer bugs than the GM. Anybody hear much about the AC6000?? Is CSX having good luck with these??

I'd say CSX is indifferent about their AC60's, which is a shame, they are the greatest units out there now. CSX doesn't have many problems with the AC60's, but on the other hand, they still haven't gone back for more. I don't know where Union Pacific used their big power, but I know that CSX has used their AC60's in pairs on intermodals across Indiana and Ohio with some degree of success.

I tried opening the Kato poster but for some reason can not do it. Was anything other than the SD70's announced?

The direct link didn't work for me either, but the smiley on their site did...

    From memory...

    In HO Scale
    Biz cars - already announced
SD45 re-run's, CNW, DRGW, WC, ATSF, PRR
    SD70MAC - BNSF, CSX, CR

    In N scale
    SD40 re-runs (already announced)
    SD70MAC - Roadnames as above

Think that was it all... [IMG]
