I have talked to Cory many times about doing these....they have a GP40-2 model, a GP30 model, and a GP9 model, but he has told me every time they are not going to do these. I know they would be a hit, because it is a very nice paint job. Maybe if some others wrote them, they might do them.
AWwwwwwwwwwwwww...do I really have to go to bed ? I want more...I want more !!!:tb-tongue::tb-sad::thumbs_up: !!
I should add, when these were freshly painted, it was almost a candy apple red. It was done very 1st Class. The paint almost had a sparkle to it. A couple of those shiny locomotives, 70 autoracks, and 50mph running.....how could you not love your job.
Awww darn...then I will curl up under the sheets with visions of all them trains running thru my head ! I hope "The Wife" doesnt see me smiling in my sleep and think its about another woman...LOL :tb-wink: Thxs again for the great walk down your memory lane...fascinating....simply awesome :tb-cool:
A little newer vintage than Jerry's shots but I was dumping my wifes camera and found this. This was taken the Saturday morning of the Louisville NSC Convention. We were packing up the car and the kid and heard the rumble of the loco coming up the river valley so we made a little detour through town and did some railfanning. I thought she was taking shots of my son and I watching the train. She was focused on other things, LOL.
Something else fresh on the I&O today.....again, snapped by my wife Holly. And something much older and tired looking but still taken this week.
i started another thread called Indiana and Ohio , it is on the Railroad Class 3 forum. check it out. i sure wish i was into railfanning when jerry got all those nice pics. i remember seeing the nicely painted i&o engines passing my house and i only started taking pics when they were mostly all gone. now all i get is the ugly ducklings that the i&o runs today.
Just think Dan, I could have been running by your house and gave you a cab ride back then....you would have been just like Saine Josh! LOL
HO scale gp30 Took this photo in late june of this year at the Louisville, KY train show for the National N scale Convention.
Jeffersonville, OH Ive had this pic posted on another forum: More Indiana and Ohio . This engine is a gp7 and was once owned by the I&O but now it belongs to the grain elevator in jeffersonville.
