So I messed up, I tried to run my HO Hayabusa on a Hornby system. Worked great for a little while before the motors burnt out completely. All 4. I had no idea they were coreless and would not stand DCC like all the other Hornby locos I have. So now I have a problem. Kato has parts for the entire wheel assembly with motors but they're extremely expensive. Does anyone know how I can find just the motors? I'm more than capable of replacing them myself.
I'd be willing to swap them to another motor type but finding them is the trick. They're the same as the ones in the P42 trucks from what I can tell but finding just the motor is proving difficult
