Here's my Atlas SD60M that I put Brian's module in. I also added some fiber optic ditch lights as well. Russ
Looks great, Russ. What size filiment did you use? I've got some, but it's about .75mm, a little too thick? Brian
Thanks guys! Brian, I believe I used .030 strands. I got the idea from a website I found where there were great how-to photos. I've got to get ready to go out, but I'll try to find that link and post it later. It explains absolutely everything very well. Russ [ 30 November 2001: Message edited by: tehachapifan ]</p>
Brian. Welcome to TrainBoard. As of now I can't offord to buy anything until sometime after Christmas, but your LED system sure sounds good and I will buy some later.
Looks like great stuff Brian! Do you make a light board for the B23-7 or does anyone on the board have an old one they want to sell? I fried one of mine trying to put White LED's in it! ha ha ha!
Her's that link to a great website a guy, Jim Reising, did on his layout and equipment. It includes the ditchlight "how to". http://members.tripod.com/jereising/index.htm Russ
Last year, I converted all my units to white LEDs using Digi-Key LEDs. That was during the time when most everyone was objecting to the blue-ish tint. Didn't bother me then or now. When I get my new layout running, I'll convert my Kato SD90 units.
