Yes, I enjoyed that video with the music. That is some very clear video as well, nice shooting! Lots of ground level shots to be seen.
Great video David I never thought i would see the day come when Z scale trains and 80's glam-rock got together.... Great video Tony B... Wasatch Z Club
Ah the Joe Satriani might be early 90's but the Def Lep is late 80's. I think the surfing with the alien is late 80's as well. I'll have to check my old CD's
Looked it up - 1987 release of Surfing with the Alien. I sit corrected (because I'm sitting down).:tb-wacky:
Monday again. Showing off the new centerflows and HiCubes. Classic music this time.
Hi All, I don't post here often, but I have a short video of our micro layout that's just had the flex track soldered. I've been working hard putting together the three BAZ half timbered houses as well as scratch building deciduous trees and altering Heki evergreens. Here's where we are so far on the 9" diameter pizza layout...
Nice video Beverly. With the houses and trees, it looks like you going to have good looking layout. I am also working on a tiny layout. I plan you build a layout on a shadow box so I can take it to local shows.
John, Sight unseen and not yet finished, our layout has been invited to the local show for this fall. I don't think there are many Z scalers in town and if there are, none will be this small. How big is your shadow box and what are the show's guidelines?
Howdy Folks Here's a link to our clubs latest video shot this past weekend at the annual Hostler's Train Show at the Union Pacific station in Ogden, Utah. Our club did great, and ran trains all weekend for the huge crowds. We came away with my Curvo Bridge module winning 1st place best in show, and my Echo Canyon module winning 2nd place as well!!. Hope you enjoy the video.. Tony B... Wasatch Z Club
I'm just about finished with the landscaping of our micro pizza layout and thought I'd shoot a quick video of the progress so far.... Several holes were drilled early this morning so I could plant more evergreen and deciduous trees, though I've got to make the deciduous trees first. Hopefully, shrubs and other details can be added this weekend. The figures are on order and I don't expect to get them for another couple of weeks, then Gads! I've got to paint them! I'll post a video of the completed project at a later date Anyway, enjoy the video!
OK, not Z scale but there is a Z scale track at the Hamburg, Germany "Wunderland". Since I'll be there in 2 weeks, I was going to stop by and see the new Scandanavian addition and Swiss renovation since I was there 5 years ago. They're also supposed to be opening the airport that they have been working on for the past 1.5 years. Wunderland covers 1100 m^2 (11840 ft^2). In Wiehe (Thüringer region), Germany is an even larger layout but NOwhere as detailed, animated or automated. Here is their 2009 video:
Costa Mesa GTE 2009 with ZoCal Even though we were forced to put our layout within 3' of a wall, we still pulled it off. Because of the flexibility of the Z bend format, this layout could fit. The lone island part of the layout had to be situated between layouts across form us so that people could get by. There were 24 AZL BN and 24 AZL UP Cenrterflow cars in the two trains. By using three separate collections we could make these long trains. Shot with a Canon HD HV-20 video camera and 4 100W Sunlight fluorescent lights.
I spent a little more effort on this short video. Used video from several different GTE shows and put the video to the music. Thanks to ZoCal and Baz Boyz for the trains.
video doodlings of Midsomer Mardy I had Midsomer Mardy set up this week to debug some rough running locos and also to test the new 57 foot LMS coaches I am building. I thought I might as well shoot some video while I was at it. the background is messy of course and Radio 6 Music is playing in the background but other than that I think it is O.K The British Rail class 56 co-cos are the ones I cast myself in resin and are running on Marklin BR103 chassis
2009 Ontario Big Train Show ZoCal showed up form the BTS on June 6th -7th, 2009. I shot some HD video and made part one of the video. We had 12 modules with about 4.25 scale miles of each mainline. We had up to seven trains running on DCC. We even converted about six more engines from DC to DCC. From a Marklin Mikado to an AZL Southern Pacific Brass (in the video) to a Marklin French Diesel (all Z-2 installs) to drop in Digitrax circuit board drop ins on some GP35's and SD7's. I'm waiting for my TCS drop in decoders for my GP35's (soon?). Part 2 to come soon. Following another train around the layout the other direction. 2009 Ontario Big Train Show part 2 Here is the second part. Followed another engine once around the layout - outside loop this time. In honor of each ZoCal member, I put the module owner's name on the screen as the train passes through it. We never do see Jim or Steve though. We just enjoy their modules. (Just not the lugging around their module part!) David L.
