I sent a request for an explanation of how the friend function works. But if must have gotten lost in the christmas rush. So, after you have become friends and they with you. How does this function work? Is there some special communications or notification if one or the other is on line? Or what???? Pleaese advise. Thanks See ya Ron
It works in a few ways that if you don't know where to look you might miss it... If you look at the Main Page: http://www.trainboard.com/ Look on the left side for the old method know as "Buddy List", if anyone on your personal list is online you will see them listed there. Also on this same page look about 1 screen page down for "Online Users" and you will see everyone that is currently online. Now, look at those names closer and if you see a "+" next to that name that is also one of the people on your personal list. When you are on the Forum Home page "http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/" which is also gotten to by , you will also see near the bottom another area called "Currently Active Users" which works the same way with the "+" next to their names. There are other areas around the vast software where you can restrict certain things to your "+" friends only. :tb-wink: :tb-wink: :tb-wink:
