Have you got a photo you took in the past and later took a photo of the same thing on another day; maybe years later? Well, here is the topic to show "BOTH" of those photographs side by side. Déjà vu As a twist, if someone else posts a photograph of something you also have a photograph of then "Quote" there photograph and post yours beside that one... Here is the first entires so get this started... - Taken September 1, 1991 - - - - - - September 26, 2005

Here is UP 844 at Sacramento in 1991, along with her companion 3985. She's in greyhound paint, hard to tell from this poor photo. And here is 844 running through Tacoma in 2007 with another companion, 4449.
First, I apologize for the quality of these. I was still learning. Doyle loves to paint his baby, SP 4449. All of these were taken at Portland Union Station prior to departure on excursions. 1996, Daylight Colors 2001, Warbaby Black 2002, American Freedom Train

31 OCT 2007 Good afternoon gmrcguy. Larry at SCRS. I read where you posted about the Green Mountain Railroad and thought I would pass on to you that my wife and I were in Burlington this summer (July). We left Rouses Point, NY that morning and drove down through the islands (US 2) to the freeway. As we were entering the Burlington area, I decided to leave the freeway and drive into the city. We drove in on Main Street, just sight seeing - past the college, through the city down to the waterfront park area. By the time we were down to where I saw the tracks, my wife needed to use the facilities at the new building across the tracks (has a circle drive in front). She used up what little time we did have there. While she was inside,I knew that I wanted to someday ride the train(s) that came along those tracks, however it was not to happen on this trip. We needed to travel on over to Waterbury, check in the Best Western, clean up, then preceed up to the Von Trapp Lodge for our 50 year anniversary dinner. The next day, we did get over into Montpelier and Barre. As we drove through, we saw the railline that still had the rails in place, which also had that 'no longer used look'. Some of those clearances had to be close. Over in New Hampshire, we stayed in Lincoln. I did see the Hobo Railroad station area, took many pictures, drove over to North Conway to visit the model railroad museum in Interval and then the Conway Scenic railway station. Another day, we took the Cog Railway up to the top of Mt Washington (great day for viewing - weather clear - many pictures), then back down to Bretton Woods, followed the railline to Crowford Notch (more pictures - also of the Conway Scenic train as it arrived with a large tour group). then on down into North Conway (more pictures before returning to Lincoln. It was a good trip, visiting parts of eight states - railfanning where possible. Larry @ SCRS.
