    I hope I don't spoil the party with substandard shots, but with my meager equipment it's about as good as it gets for me...

    Could someone here post the 3 shots I made this morning? They are Snow 1, 2, 3. They are on my webshots link below in my sig.

    The locos are all Atlas ALCOs, RS-11, and RS-3, with a Walthers Russel plow, and an Atlas caboose. The 'snow' is sifted flour, all shots taken by me on my Kodak DC3400 camera, macro mode.

    Enjoy!

    The January contest of prototypical railroading and modeled railroad photographs depicting winter scenes is over.

    By default, John Whitby wins the modeling award for his N gauge scene. John was the only one to submit a modeled winter railroad scene.

    There is a poll below for the membership to vote for their favorite photographs of winter railroading operations:

    Well .. there would be a poll here, but I can't seem to get it set up the way I need to! :( Let me see what I am doing wrong.

    My pics were N scale, but not very good...
    I modeled them myself!

    Hemi ..

    My apologies my friend.

    I did not view your entry because it was required that I download the file(s) into my computer from an external source .. something that my virus/wormguard will not let me do without a big fuss .. so I did not personally see your entry. But I'm quite sure that others have who are not as fussy about the information they accept from external sources as I am. (I have been badly burned in the past, and do not wish to experience that again!)

    Good luck. [IMG]

    Thanks Benny ..

    Those are not bad pics Hemi! I can set up a poll for "modeled winter railroading" to see who wins the contest on that angle too! It was my fault that I did not realize that there was more than only one entry as a modeled winter scene. :(

    The poll to vote for your favorite winter railroading scene photograph is now closed.
    Out of over 2,000 members at trainboard, only 24 elected to vote :rolleyes:

    The winners are:

    First place: John Whitby (38% of the votes);
    Second place: Watash (29 % of the votes);
    Third place: DRGEng (21% of the votes).

    It was difficult to chose a winner as all of the photographs were great. We thank all of your for your entries.

    Stand by for the announcement for the next contest [IMG]
