Google maps is great for everywhere EXCEPT the areas I need to model in Missouri. :/ Gives me a little bit more room for modeler's license tho. lol
Luckily, from what I can see this morning, only twigs and some small branches down. Its actually a very beautiful morning considering how bad the weather was last night. I stayed up till about midnight watching the weather channel, and when it looked like the worst was by us went to bed. Hope others made it through OK too.
Glad to hear, Jerry, especially with the nasty stuff north of Decatur and over towards Huntsville. Hope the hail didn't open up any roof leaks you repaired last year. Have you heard anything happening with the ATN?
Havent heard anything from the ATN this weekend. I am sure they had trees down somewhere along the line.....
Talked with my bro-in-law last evening. He had a load bound from Texas to Birmingham. As he neared the Louisiana line somewhere west of Vicksburg, he said it was raining so hard he could only safely barely make 30-35mph, so just pulled off and parked for the night.
Got home late tonight, and found the gas tank in the mail! Yes! Going to get it put together and painted hopefully this weekend.
Got home today from work and the road bridges are here! I will do some test fitting tomorrow. I think they may be a little short, if so I will order more, but will find out tomorrow.
Looks like you are moving a decent amount of revenue. But doing so in the "mourning?" Was it a bad day?
Nice Jerry , gotta love a mixed freight!!!! Is it common to have a tank car on the rear? I thought they needed a buffer car. Mike
Business has been up lately. This train was just over 7000 tons. This location is climbing a 2.2% grade.
Built the gas tank and painted it today.....and then picked it up too soon after painting and put a nice finger print right on the top. Boy was I mad! LOL Then I couldnt find my sandpaper, so I guess nothing new till tomorrow when I can get to Hobby Lobby after work and pick some up.
You didn't happen to find a package of road signs? I spent a couple hours looking for one I know I have, but found a brand new package of Testors sandpaper that I didn't know was there. LOL
No go on the road signs Rick...LOL...but I did find some sandpaper and got the gas tank top sanded. I didnt even have to repaint...got lucky and it smoothed right out! Here is the first test fit of the gas tank. A little bigger in this area then I thought, but thats OK....leaves less space I have to add other 'stuff'.
