I'm pine tree green with envy. Great job man. Now I am going to have to get a red barn :tb-biggrin:. Makes me think of Kincking Horse Pass. WOW!!!:tb-shocked:
Very nice work. I enjoyed the tank train as there was a time when they rolled through Cajon pass here in Southern California. Good job on the backdrop and the description. I model the inland desert and everything gets a layer of dust and most of the time the horizon is a dusty brown color. So I will use your method with the white to blend but instead use a light dust color. Do you have operating sessions? I would love to see some picks and stories of following a train from crew change to crew change.
no trackplan, sorry. i'd have to draw one with ms paint.... no operating sessions. i'm an ego. i run my trains all by myself. no visitors allowed. only other person ever running trains on my layout was steve (steve4painting). but........ ....somewhere i have a video clip of one lap around my layout. unfortunately it's >200mb . recorded by a tiny wireless videocam mounted on a flatcar. btw, i paid 0.99$ for the cam including receiver.
I would love to see your layout with some grain trains or intermodel. Nice......everything. P.S. don't forget the beer facility! LOL
Awesome layout. Nice work with the trees. I've got about 600 on my layout, all WS trees built from WS tree kits, by me. I'm thinking that your investment in trees was a much better one than mine.
I Showed Your Pics to My Mother and she said... Yes, those are her words and I have permission to quote her. "Now, when will _yours_ look like that?" Arrrrg!
Beautiful work, Sandro! I understand how much work it is to stage and take the photos, so I appreciate this thread all the more. Thanks for putting it together for us.
Sandro - Wow, excellent layout. You've nailed it, great job! How steep are your grades? But then I guess it really isn't that big a deal, you can just throw more AC4400's on until you get enough tractive effort, right ?
Sandro: I can only echo what others have said, FANTASTIC. Thanks for sharing your really neat photo shoot. I really got the impression of being there, enterance shots and pan around, then focus on the details. Very impressive! I have a long way to go before my layout is anywhere near as complete as yours, still building the benchwork. It's good to see what others are doing in the hobby and get a little extra motivation for your own work efforts.
Very nice indeed. I particularly like your "real" town scenes. Great detailing. Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures.
WOW! Like everyone else has said "Nice layout!" You are very patient to plan so many trees but it was well worth the time. Just beautiful!!! The 200mb video would be worth the download if you choose to link it to your web site! Maybe post it to Youtube?? Thanks for sharing the picts!
