"The Train Show" is featuring Arts layout on this weeks episode. It airs at 3:30PM Eastern time on RFD tv (channel 379 on Directv) Nelson
I like that show. It usually follows a very cool show by the people at O Gauge Railroading. A friend of mine at work turned me onto RFD TV. I've even gotten hooked on the classic tractor shows they have!
You guys are torturing me! There is no RFD tv here via cable. And I'm not on satellite. Would love to see Art's N layout. Also would like to see his Sn2 layout.... Boxcab E50
I remember when that show was on local cable public access. It used to be called "Model railroading on Long Island" The club I belong to was featured a few episodes back.
In thirty minutes, I will watch "Marias Pass." Something about steam engines. Where is Marias Pass? Oops! Check this: http://www.microsoft.com/games/trainsimulator/profile_marias_pass.asp
Boxcab, Do you have a DVD player? I have an extra copy of the "Train Show" DVD that features 4 N scale layouts, with Art's being one of them, that I am willing to part with. If you pm me your snail mail addy I can send it to you. Nelson
Flash- Marias Pass is the rail crossing route of the BNSF over the Rocky Mountains here in Montana. (nee-BN, nee GN RY.) Follow Highway 2 on a state road map, and you'll see it. Boxcab E50
It was very good. Art has a very nice train room, lighting, etc. He said the room was 11' x 28'. Pretty good size; still not complete. Also a good display of the layout edge and putting scenery right to the edge.
A really nice layout! It was nice to see the unfinished parts as well as the completed areas and shown some secrets to a nice model railroad, like Art's lighting and those buildings with no backsides. Very cool!
Hmmmm... I bet Bar Mills products were prominant everywhere on the layout. Unfortunately... I missed te show.
