    Jason:

That 2-8-0 looks fantastic. Did you a MP oil tender on your conversion?

How did you hook up the draw bar from the Bachmann 2-8-0 loco to the MP Vandy tender.

What headlight did you use for the loco?

Stay cool and run steam..... [IMG]

Jason - cool pics! I agree w/ Jeff - those cab forwards are the BOMB! If they come out in plastic, it will be my first steam loco.

Great looking locos, both! Yes, I think the cab forward should be weathered. Just a few trips through the tunnels would remove the shine :D Actually, all SP locos should be weathered

Good to see steam on Paul's layout ;)

Thank you all for the kind words gents.

Flash & Bob,yes it is the MP vandy tender,I cut the walk ways off this unit though.
Bob the draw bar is the Bach one to keep power pickup from the tender working.I'll pull it apart tomorrow & post some pic's so you can see how to do.

Jeff & Dave, from what I read, these C loco's did work together with c-f alot, cant remember exact details, but thats why I did this little conversion,to run it with the c-f.Only now I got to work out how to get a m/t coupler on the front of the c-f!
Still waiting on a reply from Espeeman regarding the c-f project he is involved with, cant wait to see how that pans out!

Alan,I recond Paul should put the deseasels away for a spell & get some more steam happening too.

*Bob,the head light is the one off that loco, just relocated it to the upper part of smoke box & moved the marker lights too. This unit is actually for DRGW prototype, the SP unit I was doing didn't get finished in time.Pic's soon.

Another SP 2-8-0 with a string of PFE reefers on way to ice dock.

Number 3420 is a C-19 ( I think). This lococmotive is still intact and has been partially restored by a local group.

My father was hoghead on this locomotive several times. He caught a lot of work trains in his early days with the T&NO.

    Jason:

I'd like to see photo's of the Bachmann drawbar hooked up to the MP Vandy tender.

You did a great job in modifying that 2-8-0.

    Thanks. [IMG]

Ok guys - all of these pics of SP steam are just way cool. I've got all of the Signor books on the various SP lines, and seeing your pictures is like seeing those books come to life.

I'm really happy w/ my era (mid 90's Tehachapi) and don't venture out of my era at all, but geez, it sure would be cool to see some SP or Santa Fe steam climbing the loop. If I succumb, you guys are to blame [IMG]

    Nice shots!!!

PS Jason - dig that shot of all the Dash 9's! Are they all SP?
