Mark, The SP Specific shells is a great idea!! I'm still plucking up courage to attempt to fit nose lights on my locos. If I could buy shells or parts of with them it would make things much easier. There may even be a market for noses with lights to convert otherwise ok models (e.g. CP SD40-2). Simon
Simon, There is certainly a market for noses. We aim to tackle SP, CNW and Canadian noses in future. As well as the road-specific features they will have holes for BLMA grabs.
Yes, I do know what our Aus friend are like for abbreviating everything (swimsuits come to mind)... Thanks for the kind words - we aim to get better as the months go by.
Hmm..You know what would be cool? A conversion cab to turn an Atlas B23-7 into a BQ23-7! http://www.trainweb.org/csxphotos/photos/BQ23-7/3004fl.jpg Mike C Phoenix
We could probably put them out at around the same price as our C40-9 NS cab/nose. No promises but you are about the 5th person to ask for this stunning locomotive. (stunning as in ugly enough to stun the averagr railfan)
Cozzies IIRC But we digress! I'm going to grab a cold Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and ruminate on BQ23-7s.
Cozzies IIRC</font>[/QUOTE]Only in some parts of the country. Where I come from they're called togs - much shorter word... John Dennis
Well....I've always wanted a couple of late GP40-2's, especially for these: Not too mention: I like the light package idea, except it can become a pain when you model across era's like I do. Most of the Espee loco's lost their nose light package in the early-mid 90's, so you've got to ask yourself is it easier to add a light or to remove one? Case in point - SP Speed Lettered or UP tunnel motors just don't look right with their nose lights.... Fortunately, buy releasing kits you're already aiming at a market that isn't afraid of a little hard work The SP SDP45's are tempting....I'd never really considered them before... Would you be interested in producing intermodal containers/trailers as well??? There are a couple of popular styles that major manufacturers aren't going to touch...
I would buy Austrailian shells and probably paint them up in GN colors or maybe use the scheme nscale_lover came up with, or hey, just might do them up in the prototype scheme. Now, (for me), that woould be different.
Oh come on now, they aren't THAT ugly! A face only a Family Lines System fan could love! Mike C Phoenix
I DID state "the average railfan", Mike. it's clear that you don't fall into this category. A BQ23-7 cab has been added to the Mark 4 Design official to-do list (TM)
We already have first samples of a 28 foot UPS pup trailer in N and Z. We'll certainly consider other containers and/or trailers.

My wishlist would include: 45' Stoughton Trailer 45' Stoughton Trailer (arguably the most common 45' trailer of the late 80's-90's... more roadnames than MT's Fruehauf and Atlas' Pines Trailers combined!!!) 48' Stoughton Trailer (ditto) 53' Duraplate Container (JB Hunt has thousands and now Schneider has some slightly different. Plus it's a different style than deLuxe's models. Intermountain has just announced it in HO, but apparently has no plans for it in N ) Something else I can talk to you about in Brisbane...
