    John:

You'll be okay with the 12.5 radius for the AC-12. If it were under 11, I would say, don't buy the AC-12.

I was able to pick up the #4292 AC-12 from woo woo woo Kleins. Thanks for the heads up. There were only eight left yesterday.

Looks the only ones left now are the unlettered tender versions.

Agreed. I would make the change to the hidden staging area if necessary but doesn't look like I'll need to.

Most of the SP AC's were absent tender lettering by the end. Watching the Pentrex video, most tenders were blank as well.

Mine should be here tomorrow or Tue. Can't wait.

The AC-12 would run on 11 inch radii. However, you definitely wouldn't like the way it looks on such a narrow radii.

I installed a DZ125PS that I was able to get at a local HobbyTown USA for a very reasonable price, and was finally able to test run it. It seems to be running a little loudly, but I am betting that this will lessen as I run it more. No other complaints thus far though. It did rattle a bit in my yard trackage, but I have a feeling that it won't be running in those areas all that often.

Yeah right, been checking regular, if a day is a while, hate to see them go quick, with the stated problems with the wheels, I expected them to last at least two days.

By some of the comments, I suspect the Atlas code 55 boys will have problems with their scale track and 9 3/4" radius curves, maybe some will come up cheap on "that place!".

    In an unscientific poll...

4 out of 5 model railroaders polled, who have the IMRC AC-12 Cab Forward, really liked it.

The dissenting modeler said he prefers a Cab Faux-ward because it 'creeps' much slower, climbs walls and can fly. It should be noted that the dissenting model railroader was recently released from a pysch ward for abuse of LSD.

BTW... I am not the dissenting model railroader. :D

Bob: The 12.5" is the inside track in the hidden staging area. All exposed track is closer to 19". USPS tracking shows that mine is out for delivery today! Can't wait!

I still haven't received mine yet. I should have them by the end of the week if Chuck at Feather River gets his shipment of AC-12's today as planned.

Mine is on order from Chuck too. Mind you, it will have a few more miles to travel before I get it!

Ok, got mine about an hour ago. Gorgeous model! I ran it on the inner 12.5" radius track from the hidden staging yard. Handled it like a champ. The front overhangs a good bit so the AC12 and the GS4's will not be run out of the staging area at the same time with this tight a radius. So, even though I can't see this portion of the layout I will be increasing the curve radius in the staging area. Don't need that head ache if I forget and run the Daylight consist at the same time as the AC12.

    NOT speaking from personal experience...

    Apparently not much...

    In an unrelated story...

A new AC-12 was seen resting at Calzephyr' Island of Misfit Toy Trains.

Please disregard the UFO hovering over the Canadian Rockies.

It's here!! No picture you've seen gives this model justice for the abundance of detail!!! Worth every penny on that aspect alone!

    :D :D :D :D

I plan to get a video of her today too.

My buddy got one and pulled 60 cars no problem. I don't know if it was flat or on a grade.
