Milwaukee Road 261 on Bridge
Here's a fun one from last summer. Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 #261 crossing the Menominee River Bridge at the mouth of the Menominee as it joins the Milwaukee River just a mile or so before Lake Michigan.
Taken from the east bank of the Milwaukee River in Milwaukee's historic Third Ward. The view is looking southwest. This bridge is part of the current CP main line and used extensively by CP and Amtrak (Amtrak runs 7 daily round trip Hiawatha services between Milwaukee and Chicago as well as the Empire Builder).
p.s. Can you guys tell me how you get your pictures embedded in your messages rather than as thumbnail attachments?

With all the rain we have been having across Texas, the rivers are all very troubled these days. Here is the Brazos. It was about 3 feet higher a few days before this photo.

Here is a shot of 6100ft of train getting ready to start over the Ohio River from Evansville Indiana to Henderson Kentucky. This bridge is approximately 4 miles long. The miles of flat farmland below flood a lot and it is spectacular to see when coming across the bridge. This huge monstrosity is on the L&N's Henderson Subdivision running from Evansville to Nashville and sees about 60 trains a day. Once again I forgot my camera and shot this with my cell phone:embarassed:.
